Forget Me Not

I wrote this special poem for the Alberta Alzheimer’s Association fund raiser last March.

My mom had passed away from Alzheimer’s in the fall of 2010

Forget me not on a morn’ in spring
When flowers bloom and robins sing

Forget me not on a summer day
When children’s laughter chases clouds away

Forget me not on a day in fall
When high above the wild geese call

Forget me not on when winter’s winds blow
And the earth lies under a blanket of snow
